Job description

We are seeking urgently a knowledgeable and passionate individual to fill the role a teacher for islamic studies. This position involves teaching students about the Quran, its teachings, and the broader context of Islamic studies. The ideal candidate will inspire learners to deepen their understanding of Islamic principles while fostering a respectful and engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans that cover various aspects of the Quran and Islamic teachings.
  • Facilitate discussions that encourage critical thinking and personal reflection on Islamic values and ethics.
  • Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
  • Create a welcoming classroom atmosphere that promotes respect for diverse perspectives within the context of Islamic teachings.
  • Organise extracurricular activities related to Islamic culture and community engagement.
  • Stay updated with the latest educational resources and methodologies in Islamic studies to enhance teaching effectiveness.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of the Quran, Hadith, and fundamental concepts of Islam.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas in an accessible manner.
  • Experience in teaching or tutoring, particularly in religious or cultural studies, is highly desirable.
  • Ability to engage students of varying ages and backgrounds effectively.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in lesson planning and assessment.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for educating others about Islam.
